Chef Alex Kim

Executive Chef, L’chaim Foods

Chef Alex Kim is an Ex-Special Forces Commander in South Korean Army. He has a BA in Industrial Designs From Seoul Engineering University. After immigrating to America, he spend the last 22 years in the food industry. Starting as a dishwasher, he was worked up to being one of the Bay Area’s most respected chefs and most recently Executive Chef of Ijji Omakase.

Alex Shandrovsky

Founder, and CEO, L’chaim Foods

After being fired from his first “real” job, Alex started L’chaim with a $3,000 loan from friends. Over five years, he has grown L’chaim into the Bay Areas largest Kosher catering company with over $2,000,000 in revenue over the past years alone. He is an advisor for the largest biotech seed accelerator in the world and has been featured in numerous leading international publications.

Our curriculum is based on principles of a classic Japanese restaurant. Unlike a Western kitchen which focuses on production and excellence in a particular position, a Japanese Kitchen trains students to eventually become small business owners.

Our curriculum is extremely holistic and not only focuses on the job skills necessary but also the over life skills needed to win at life.

Our life skills is fundamentally inspired by Defy Ventures CEO Of Your New Life Curriculum, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University and Edwins Leadership Institute.

Graduation

Our Graduation will display the incredible skills that our graduates have gained and will include a multi course dinner created by the graduates.

In attendance will be job recruiters from Corporate Kitchens, and Restaurant Groups along with family and friends.
